Happy New Year to all my friends. I hope your 2011 will be happy, healthy and prosperous.

I just want you to know that I will be blogging just once a week this year. Trying to do it every day is just too much for me, and that's one of the reasons why I end up going for days and weeks on end, without adding anything to my blog.

So now that that is out of the way, I want to show you a picture of my birthday gift from Art. As you know, my birthday was on December 4th, 2010, and I received this most gorgeous set of jewelry from him. And it was actually designed and created by his granddaughter, Megan, who lives in Cincinnati. Her company name is FENNO Fashion (fennofashion.com) if you are interested in seeing some of her other work.

So here is the picture of my gift, which, by the way, I wore last night at our New Year's Eve party here at Del Tura. (Wow, I don't know what happened to my picture, but I'll try to find it. Sorry!)

My Birth Day

I guess you're wondering why I didn't post either Friday or Saturday. Well, it seems it was a very special day on Saturday and I was pretty busy on Friday, too. The family arrived on Friday night to help me celebrate my 75th yesterday.

This was probably one of the best birthdays I have ever had. It was extra sweet that my son and D-I-L were here for it. We had a really great time yesterday. Started off with a simple breakfast, and then the opening of the presents! What fun.

Then lunch at Jason's Deli, which was my request. I've been wanting to have a restaurant sandwich for so long, but ONLY Jason's uses gluten free bread if need be. Ohhh, I really enjoyed that sandwich == turkey, cranberry sauce, Philadelphia cream cheese, some greenery and a little mayo. Yummo!!!

Then on to dinner at Heron's Glen. I had the salmon which was so delicious. When we came home Beth had gotten a New York cheesecake and then put cherries on top and whipped cream. It was so good. I really blew myself out of the water as far as calories go, yesterday. But IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY!!! What fun.

Art gave me the MOST gorgeous jewelry set (necklace and earrings) that his granddaughter, Megan Fenno, made special for me. Simply beautiful! And Bobby (or James, his names have become interchangeable to me) and Beth and Josh gave me some tape runners (which I use in my cardmaking) and a really big ACMoore gift card. Wow, I was so thrilled.

I guess I'll have to take a pic of the jewelry and post it on here. Simply exquisite! I'll try to show it to you tomorrow.

Well, have to go now. Have a few things to do and I would like to just sit down and put my feet up for a little while. Hope you have a great evening.

Christmas Card #3

This is a Christmas card I made for a swap that our team was doing. (Oops, I see the right side of the card was cut off when I scanned it) Again, I used the Mistletoe papers. I really do love these papers this year from CTMH.

I started my Christmas shopping today, after having a free lunch at Panera Bread. I received a birthday gift from them, and after adding a smoothie that was credited on my card, my lunch was FREE! Love all those birthday goodies from all the restaurants and stores where I shop.

I also received my gift certificate from Strawberry Fields where I had taken some scrapbooking stuff that I no longer wanted or used. They had a "garage sale" before I went away and so I sold quite a bit of things. So now I get to shop in the store for FREE! Don't you just love that word, FREE? I actually picked up two card kits that are quite beautiful and can't wait to make them up.

I also got $10 from ACMoore from my reward card. So I purchased a great book of printed card stock (both sides) so I can teach a class on the card stock handbags that I make. They are so neat and the gals from my card class want to know how to make them. So that's going to be our January class.

An exciting day for me. Talked with the owner of Tovos Grille again today. This project with the gluten free pizza is going strong. Can't wait for this to come to fruition. Yeah, Wednesday will be pizza day for me, that's for sure.

Talked to a few people I have met who are in my shoes as far as gluten goes, and they are excited, too. So Art and I are going to the restaurant next Tuesday to watch the process, and then taste test the pizza. We have been invited to be guests for the meal. Sounds exciting to me!

Here is Christmas card #2 that was made at my November card class. I believe it's another winner!

Christmas card #1

Here is one of the Christmas cards that we made at my November card class. The girls really loved working on this very simple card. I'll be showing you others as the days go on.

I am so excited. The movie group today had lunch at a new restaurant here in N. Fort Myers. It's called Tovos Grille, and, of course, they have great pizzas along with a ton of other types of food. I got to speak with one of the owners today and asked if he would be interested in making gluten free pizzas. He thought for a moment and then said he would look into what it would require of them. He said he would call me and let me know if it would be possible. Well, right before dinner he called. And, yes, he WILL BE making gluten free pizza. He's going to start just making it one day a week to see how it goes. So we picked Wednesdays and that is where I will be probably every Wednesday. I have to go so far now to get pizza that we don't do it very often.

So I'm hoping I can get a lot of people in this area to go to his restaurant. I'm going to post it on FB, and also send an e-mail to everyone in this area who are on my address book. Plus I guess I'll post it at our swimming pools here in Del Tura, and also at the grocery stores in the area. Hope it works!

Happy Thanksgiving

Well, it has certainly been a fabulous November for me. First, of course, is the fact that my son and his family have been visiting us quite often. They only live 2 hours away, so it's been really great to get to see them on weekends. However, this past week we were in Greenville, SC to visit Art's daughter and son-in-law for Thanksgiving. We had a really great time, and one of the fabulous things we did was go to see the Biltmore Mansion. So gorgeous all decorated for Christmas. We really enjoyed that. Then some other short day trips to various places around the Greenville area.

We were supposed to come home last Friday, but I goofed up by taking Art's meds in the morning instead of mine. And, since one of the meds was for blood pressure (and I don't have a problem with that) I really got sick, ended up not being allowed to board the plane, and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. But as soon as my system got regulated again, I was allowed to go home. So then we had to stay at Carol's home until the next flight, and that was today. I'm no worse for wear, thank goodness, although Friday was a lost day for me. LOL

I don't have any cards to show you tonight, but will be posting some soon. Stay tuned to see some of the gorgeous sights I photographed while in SC.

Tomorrow is movie day, and we're going to see "Morning Glory". I understand it's a really great story, so we're looking forward to that. I'll try to blog some more tomorrow evening.

Tomorrow's the BIG day!

I'm so excited. Tomorrow is the BIG day when I get to see my son again. I also get to welcome into the family a new daughter-in-law and a new grandson. Can't wait.

Baby EJ

Let me introduce you to my newest great grandbaby. EJ is now just one week old and resides in Maryland. He lives with his Mommy and Daddy and his two big sisters, Ashleigh and Brooke. He's really cute, don't you think? Looks older than one week old, though. At least that's what I think.

I'm getting anxious for Saturday to come, when my long lost son, Bobby (he goes by James now, because he's no longer a little boy (lol)), and my new daughter-in-law, Beth, and 14-year old grandson, Josh, arrive to spend the weekend. Can't wait. We have so much catching up to do, so I'm sure it will be non-stop talking.

My miracle!

I have so much to tell you. First off, some sad news. Art's daughter, Patti, passed away on his birthday, which was October 14th. She had Downs Syndrome and would have been 60 in March, so she had a very long life under those circumstances. We immediately went to Cincinnati for the funeral, and returned home on Friday, October 22nd.

When I started to check my e-mail, I found two messages on FB from my son, Bobby (James). I haven't seen or heard from him for 31 years. My two daughters and I have been looking for him for years, and unbeknownst to us, he was looking for us. He is married and has a 14 year old son, Josh. And the interesting part is that he lives just 2 hours away from me.

I can't believe this has happened. I talk to him on the phone every day, and he talks with his two sisters every day, also. Now the exciting thing is that his family is coming here this weekend to spend Saturday and Sunday with us. I just can't wait. Of course, I will be taking tons of pictures of them, so I will post them next week.

Also, on the 18th, my new great grandson was born. His name is Eric James, and we call him EJ. He is up in Maryland, so it will be a while before I get to see him, but I'm sure there will be plenty of pictures to share.

"Passages" Card #3

Happy Wednesday! I am showing you the third September card class project we did. Again, using the "Passages" paper kit and My Stickease for this one.

Don't have too much to talk about today. I have been looking through my house for my camera. I lost it (?) and it's nowhere to be seen. I really need to go after dinner and look for a new one at Office Depot. I need it for Saturday. We're having a Create Date at Susan's on Saturday and I'll need to take pics. Plus since we're going on vacation I need it for that, too. I really think one of the workmen who were here in our home lifted it. I hate to think that, but there's really no other explanation. We've looked just everywhere for it, and it's not in the house. The case is here, but not the camera. Shame on whoever took it.

But I need to focus on more positive things right now. So I'll just have to go out and get another one. Can't live without my digital camera. I use it all the time and I would be lost without one.

I hope you all have a great evening. We're having pork chops and sweet potatoes, plus fresh zucchini, which I plan on roasting along with some red pepper strips. Should be good.

Another "Passages" card

Sorry I didn't get on here yesterday, but so-o-o busy. Usually on Mondays I am busy all day and evening. It's the busiest day of the week for me, that's for sure.

Today was our movie and lunch day with the group. We went to see "The Other Guys". It was a shoot-em-up movie which I don't usually like but this was OK because it had Will Ferrell in it, and I really love his comedy style - very dry. But lunch was great!

Today I am showing you another card from Saturday's card class, using the "Passages" paper kit. Another "man" card, so to speak. LOL Hope you like it.

Can't stay on here too long -- I need to go and start our dinner, which is going to be spaghetti and meatballs, plus a great salad. Of course, the pasta has to be gluten free, but there are so many great products on the market now, it's just so easy to find everything I need.

Happy Sunday

Hi, everyone. I hope your Sunday is as peaceful for you as it is for me. Just a nice relaxing day, although I do want to go down the road to see if I can get some of the last Georgia peaches at one of the stands. So after I show you this card I will go. We really do love those Georgia peaches, so juicy and delicious. I do believe the season is just about over, though.

Here is the first card that my card class made yesterday morning. We used the "Passages" paper pack. As I said yesterday I do not have the stamps that they featured in the workshop guide, so I used some stamps that I already had. And I think they came out quite good. I know the girls were pleased. We really did need to do some cards for men.

I hope you enjoy this card. I used chocolate ribbon on it and the two little dots at the bottom of the brown bag piece were stamped with a pencil eraser. The girls got a kick out of that. I also slipped a clip on the upper right-hand corner and tied a small piece of the ribbon on it.

You Just Can't Keep a Good Girl Down

Sorry I haven't been able to blog for a couple of days. I woke up at 5 a.m. on Thursday morning, and went to the bathroom. Then I went to the bathroom about 24 ot 25 more times. Ohhh, so sick. Between diarrhea and nausea I actually lost 4 pounds on Thursday. Certainly not a good way to lose some weight. I went to the doctor on Thursday afternoon, and the nurse said 4 other patients had come in that day with the same thing. So the doctor put me on Cipro and the BRAT diet. That means I could eat bananas, rice, apple sauce and toast. Ugh. I went to bed so exhausted that I actually slept 12 hours, that's right, 12 hours. I don't think I ever did that before

So I stayed on the diet yesterday, also, until last evening. I had made a really great pork dinner, and I just had to have a little bit of it. And since I WAS feeling better, I treated myself. Today I think I am back to normal, thank goodness.

This morning I had my September card class, and we used the "Passages" papers and some stamps. I had the workshop guide, but since I didn't have the same stamps, I actually redesigned the cards for the class. Nice cards for men, which we all need once in a while, right?

So today I am showing you my final "Olivia" card from the workshop guide. I hope you enjoy it. Tomorrow I will begin showing you the "Passages" cards that we made this morning.

The girls really love these classes, and I serve a light lunch when they come. We did a total of six cards (3 styles). We finished two styles, then lunch and a little girl talk, then back to finish up the class. I served a nice salad with greens, assorted fresh fruit and cottage cheese. No dessert today, though, what with all the fruit, that was enough. And we had raspberry ice tea with it. Yummo.

Blog changes

I am not happy with my blog appearance. Still working on it, but don't know how to change the color of any of the text. It used to be so easy, but now seems to be complicated, and I can't figure it out. So you will keep seeing changes every day or so, until I get it the way I want it.

Here is another card using the "Olivia" papers from the workshop kit. These colors are so great for this time of year, don't you think so? All the supplies, again, are from the kit, so it you are interested in making some of these, let me know and I'll be glad to order a workshop kit for you. The price is $29.95, and as I said yesterday, you get a instruction sheet, Level 2 paper pack, a set of stamps, and the glitter brads.

Thanksgiving cards

This gorgeous card is from the "Olivia" workshop card kit. Don't you just love the rich fall colors? The kit comes with the instructions for both cards and scrapbook pages. It's been a gorgeous day today until about 4:00 p.m., and then the heavens opened. That's the way it's been almost every day lately. And you should see how my garden is growing. Wow, it's getting almost to the point of being a jungle. LOL

We had a wonderful time at our pub here in Del Tura yesterday. There was a chili contest, and boy, the one chili recipe was so hot it took almost 2 hours for my throat to get over it. LOL And the thing is, it had almost NO flavor because of so much heat in it. Fortunately it did not win. One of my girlfriends entered the contest and she was one of the winners. Yea! And then we had absolutely fabulous grilled burgers with potato salad and cole slaw. Yummy. We had gone with two other couples to this, and when we came home, we all had brownies with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and/or caramel sauce over all. I baked the brownies just before going up to the pub, so they were just perfectly cooled down when we got home. Again, yummy!

Well, must go for now. Have to relax a little this evening. I have more card samples to do tomorrow for my class, which will be on Saturday. And I definitely want to show you my memory box, so that means I have to take some pics tomorrow of that, too.

New Blog Design

As you can see, I have been fiddling around with my blog. I still am not completely satisfied with it, so you will probably see some more changes before it is finished. I hope you like it. Seems to be pleasant to the eye, but I still need to do a little more with it.

Today is a card that I actually lifted from one of the swap cards I received at Convention this year (this is one of those that did not have a name on it, so I don't know who to give credit to. Sorry). This is an example of why you should always sign or stamp the back of your card. After all, it is considered a piece of art and you should always sign your art work.

However, I did change the papers for it. These are from the "Olivia" paper pack, and the stamp is again from D1361 "Thank you". So simple and easy, and yet so attractive. You could make a ton of these in just a few minutes. Enjoy!

I'm Back!

Well, I am finally back at my computer. I have just not been able to blog for the last two months, but hopefully I will be able to keep blogging, at least until we go away later this month.

Convention was really great, and I am so glad I was able to go. We continued on to Maryland and Delaware for family visits before returning back to Florida. I don't get to visit my family very often, so this was quite a treat for me.

Art and I are doing well, now that he had his surgery just when we got back from up north. So until another tumor shows up in his bladder I guess things will go along without any complications. At least I hope so.

I had a small tumor removed from the front of my right shin, and am awaiting the biopsy results. Hopefully this will be back this coming week. Here's praying that all will be well.

I am showing you the four cards I did for the CTMH team swap. These swaps are done after the issuance of each new Idea Book. I am absolutely in love with the "Magnifique" papers and also like the "Olivia" papers. I hope you enjoy what I have posted here for you.

Actually the "Mistletoe" papers were used for the Christmas card and the stamps are from B1356 St. Nick My Acrylix stamp set. I love the colors of Cranberry and New England Ivy on this card.

This next card is for Thanksgiving, and the two main colors I like in this set of "Olivia" papers that I used are Pear and Sunset. The My Acrylix stamp set is C1419 called Harvest Home.

And now on to the "Magnifique" paper pack. The Best Wishes card uses mainly Pacifica and Chocolate as the color scheme. I also used some of the new opaque mocha gems (Z1333) and the My Acrylix stamp set used is C1422 called Unity.

And my final card for this swap is quite simple, using just the card stock colors of Lagoon for the card base, then layering Pacifica and Pear. Of course, these are all from the "Magnifique" paper pack. I then used three colors of ink on the peacock feather stamp (which, by the way, is D1438 Circle of Love Acrylix stamp set. And then I stamped the word "thanks" from D1361 Thank You My Acrylix stamp set. Then I added the clear sparkles to add some glitz to the card.

Sometime in the near future I will show you the memory box that I made for Art's daughter's birthday gift. I used the "Magnifique" papers, My Stickease and the sparkles. Gorgeous. I'm so proud of it. Maybe tomorrow I'll be able to show that to you, although tomorrow is going to be quite busy.

Wedding card

Here is the wedding card I promised to show you. It actually comes from a kit from the company of basic grey. Isn't it lovely? There are 7 other cards in the kit, so at least I'll have a few wedding cards (how often do you need a wedding card? LOL) when I need them. They are so easy, you just punch out the pieces you need, glue them down, do a little pen work on them and add the dimensional pieces. Easy-peasy! Even the envelopes are included. I'm going to look for some more of their kits because they are really lovely.

Well, must go for now. Probably won't get to blog again until I return from my CTMH Convention in DC. Getting very excited, but still have quite a bit to do in preparation. I made 4 dozen swap cards so far and I don't know if I'll have time to make any more. But I guess that will have to suffice if I don't.

Hope you all get to see some fireworks this evening. We're having some for the very first time in our community. CTMH Convention gift album

Well, I'm giving you just a peek at the gift album I made for my Convention room mate. I don't want to show it all to you until after the Convention, because she might look at my blog, and then all the surprise will be gone for her. LOL

So this is just one page of the 8x8 album I made for her using, of course, the Cherry-O papers. When I get back from Convention I'll post the entire album on here for you to see. I hope she likes it.

I have been so busy getting ready for Convention, and that's one of the reasons I haven't been blogging lately. I also have been making cards and mini paper bag (5 x 5 1/4) albums for swapping. Tomorrow Art has to go for a stress test, and they told us it would be 4 hours, so guess what? I'm taking my stamping with me to work on while I'm waiting for him. Got to use that time for getting some work done. LOL

Well, must go now. Time to watch "The Middle" and I'll try to get back here tomorrow. I have a wedding card that I made, and I want to show that to you, also.

Oh, Boy!

Hi everyone. I have been away on vacation, so that's why I haven't been on here. I told you all that Art had a new great grandson and that I was doing a digital album for the new parents. So here is what I was working on before going away. (By the way, the parents loved this.) I printed it out and placed the pages in an 8x8 album.

More of Mason

I just can't get enough of this baby. Here's another pic of him just waiting for the water to warm up in the pool. I think he's really anxious to get in. I guess Mommy and Daddy will have to teach him how to swim, though.

I was very excited to see American Idol this evening. Lee won! I am so happy for him. He's a very talented young man, and I'm sure some of the shyness will wear away now. I'm not sure if he believed he could win this, especially up against Chrystal. But he proved that he was the stronger of the two.

Mason's new photos

And I think I have to agree with him. Can you believe he is just 3 months old? Can't wait to go to Cincy next month to see him. I think I'll have to look for an empty suitcase to smuggle him back to Florida in.

Undies Card

Yesterday I promised you a look at just about the cutest card ever. Well, here it is! The front of the card looks like a bra or bikini top, and the back of the card is the thong or swim bottom. I just love this card. I got the pattern from Debi, and I just think it is so cute. And don't you just love the little tattoo?

I also just wanted you to know I SOLD MY CAR a couple of hours ago. We have another car that sits in the garage about 99% of the time, and since I am the only driver now, I decided to sell the old car. After all, I can't drive two cars at once now, can I? LOL

New recipes

Hi everyone. Again, I've been MIA for quite a while now, but, as usual, life has gotten in the way of me spending time on the computer for blogging.

Today I have two fabulous recipes to share with you. As you know, I can no longer have gluten in my food, so I have been experimenting with various (especially bread) recipes and here are two that I have come up with. Both came out so good, even Art said he can't tell they're gluten free.

Actually this first recipe is for chicken chili, and I got this recipe from my good friend, Susan, and it's really delicious. And the second recipe I got from another good friend (who has to be gluten free, also), Millie. So here goes.

Chicken Chili
***************

1 can (16 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (16 oz) white beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (16 oz) red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes, including juice
1 C barbecue sauce (I wouldn't use the honey flavor, though - too sweet)
Cooked cut up chicken or cooked hamburger

Heat together. Can be cooked in crock pot for 3 hours or on stove for a short period of time. Simmer. (If too thick, add small amount of chicken broth)

Serve with sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese.

Serve with cornbread and tossed salad

Cornbread (Gluten free)

Heat oven to 375 degrees
8"x8" baking pan, sprayed lightly with Pam
30 minutes baking time (then test)

Whisk together thoroughly in small bowl:
1 C milk (I use 2%)
1 egg
1/4 C Crisco oil
1/4 tsp. vinegar (cider is fine)

Whisk together thoroughly in larger bowl:
1/3 C potato starch
1/2 C corn starch
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 T baking powder
3/4 C corn meal
1/2 C sugar (I use Splenda)
1/2 tsp. Xanthum gum

Add liquid ingredients to bowl with dry ingredients. Using a whisk, mix until there are no lumps in the batter. (Batter will be fairly thin) Pour into baking dish and bake.

THIS IS REALLY THE BEST CORNBREAD I HAVE EVER HAD!!!

Hi everyone. I'm b-a-c-k! LOL Been so busy, as usual, but I wanted to show you the two additional cards that I made for the paper sack purse that I have been giving classes on. Plus here is the pic of the purse that the cards go in.

Good morning, everyone. It has been a very busy week, as usual, but today I am hopefully going to relax a little bit, and I did say "little bit". LOL

Last evening was really a hoot. It seems like nothing went right for me. We went to church and I forgot we had communion, so I forgot to take a piece of my gluten free bread with me. Now we dip our bread into the wine, so since I didn't have my bread with me, they had to get a small cup to put my wine in. (Do you know how embarrassing it is to always be the "problem child"?) Well, anyway, we got that resolved.

So then Art wanted to go to Lenny C's for wings and chips, so that sounded like a good idea to me. I love their wings and chips. The waitress brought our meals out, and asked if we needed anything else. So I requested some ketchup, and she brought a bottle over to the table. I picked it up, turned the cap, and the bottle EXPLODED all over me. Art said he wished he would have had a camera to take a pic of my face when that happened. Oh, my gosh, it went all over me. Even down on my WHITE slacks. What a mess. So right now my clothes are out in the washer socking overnight. Hope it all comes out. It was on my slacks, my blouse and a very light pink cardigan sweater. It was on my face and neck and arms. What a mess!!! LOL

So then we were on our way home from the restaurant when I got a call about a friend of ours who was going to sing up at the pub last night. We told her yes, we would come up for a little while. However, when we walked into the house (about 8:15) there was a message on my phone. I forgot we were supposed to be at another restaurant to hear one of our favorite groups entertain. And to top it all off, the fellow who called had actually made a reservation for a booth for us. So now I have to call him today and tell him how forgetful I am becoming. Oh, the shame. LOL Oh, well, I guess that's the kind of thing that happens when you are so overbooked, and getting close to 75. Ughh.

So today, hopefully, will be a little better for me. Going to relax a little, read the paper, work on the crop stuff for next Saturday, go to a meeting about the cruise for next year, change the bed, just normal routine stuff. LOL But, one thing is good, DINNER IS ALREADY PREPARED!!!

Topstitch cards

Well, I'm finally able to blog today. My life has been so hectic, even I can't believe what it's been like. And now I am getting ready for an all-day crop for next Saturday (April 17th) which three other CTMH consultants and myself are throwing. Boy, I think I'm a gluten for punishment. I guess I'm one of those people who just can't say NO! LOL

Here are the two cards that I will be presenting at a class, plus there is a paper sack purse which I will be showing you in a few days. So the project is really all three items.

I am in charge of making the egg salad for this event. So that means I have to make enough for approximately 36 people. It will be served along with chicken salad on a bed of lettuce with tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. So I went to a website called allrecipes.com, and the thing I like about this website is that I can change the amount of servings and it will recalculate the amounts of the ingredients for you. I know how to make a great egg salad, but not for 36 people! LOL. So this seemed to be the easiest way for me to figure it out. Well, actually allrecipes.com figured it out for me. LOL

This is the first big event I have worked on for a number of years now, so I am really excited and praying it will be a big success.

Got to go now. Have tons of things to do like putting together the goodie bags for my guests, finishing up my handmade prize that will be awarded, and stuff like that. I will do my shopping later on, probably towards the beginning of next week. I am in charge of the paper plates, and other paper goods. So I will talk to you later. I know I still owe you pictures of a couple of the 2-page spreads I did for Art's new great grandson, and that will be coming soon, also.

The month of March

Wow, yesterday was the first day of Spring and it was gorgeous. Today, however, was a different story - very cloudy, extremely windy, and oh, those rains were really torrential.

The month of March has been really busy. Friday went to a luncheon to honor the volunteers in Lee County. Saturday we had our annual International Food Fair at the clubhouse and today was Ohio Day with, of course, tons of food. It seems like all I do is eat any more. Now, tomorrow Art and I will go to one of our little gaming establishments AFTER having lunch, of course. Then Tuesday evening is the singles' birthday dinner, which is being held at Red Lobster, and the list goes on and on. Really need to start cutting back on all this food!!! I dropped from a 16 pants to a 12, but if this keeps up I'll be back to the 16. Ugghh!

Well, I haven't had the time to take photos of the scrapbook pages of Mason yet, nor have I printed out all the pics I want for those pages. I ran out of colored ink on the printer and had to go get one last evening. So hopefully I'll get to it the early part of the week. Keep your fingers crossed. The pages are really cool, and I know you will just love them.

Scrapbooking and Gluten free dinner

I went to a crop yesterday, and did 6 pages for Mason's album. However, I didn't have time to print out the pics for on the pages, so that will have to wait until probably Tuesday. I will also need to take pics of the pages, so just be patient, the pages are coming SOON.

I wanted to let you in on a great recipe I concocted. As most of you know I am very sensitive to gluten. So I really like Amy's gluten free rice mac & cheese. So the other evening I microwaved the package (it's in the freezer section of your store) for 3 minutes. Then placed it into a small baking dish that I had sprayed with butter flavor spray. Then I added a can of drained tuna, 3 large serving spoonfuls of diced Italian tomatoes, Italian herbs, and Paula Deen's seasoning salt (includes pepper and garlic als0). Mix well and back into the microwave for another 3 minutes. Yummo. This was really good and was actually two servings instead of the 1 serving of just the mac and cheese. Served with some fresh veggies and this was a really great meal.

If you are sensitive to gluten, you must give this a try. Art said he really enjoyed it, too.

I thought I would show you a couple more pics of Mason Michael, who, by the way, is 2 weeks old TODAY!! Isn't he just the cutest?
The second picture is actually his Mommy's favorite one and I kind of have to agree with her. He is so sweet.

I shipped off his birth announcements today to his Mommy and Daddy. I hope they like them. And tomorrow I am going to an all-day crop where I am going to start making pages for is album. I'm really looking forward to this project, especially since I was ready, willing and able to start, oh, about 4 months ago? But Mommy and Daddy didn't want to know if Mason was a girl or boy. So, I just had to be patient and wait until he arrived on the scene. Doesn't seem fair to me, since I could have had the whole darn album done by now! LOL

Oh well, that's what I will be doing tomorrow, and as soon as I can I will let you see some of the pages. OK? Have a great evening and sweet dreams when you go to sleep.

Back at Last

Well, I finally have some time to get back to my blogging. I'm sorry I have been gone so long, but life got in the way. LOL I'm sure most of you understand that that happens once in a while.

One of the things I have been doing lately is making birth announcements. Art's grandson, Michael (who bought Art's home in Cincinnati) and his wife Sarah just had a baby boy. Namely Mason Michael and he is adorable. He will be two weeks on Friday. So I am showing you the announcement that I made for them.

I really need to get back to my blog. I have missed it, but just haven't had time. Art was in the hospital a couple of weeks ago, but is home now and pretty much back to normal. It seems that his blood pressure medication caused him to collapse in the bathroom. I can tell you this, it was extremely scary for me. I had to call 911 because I couldn't arouse him. But as I said, all is well now, thank goodness.

"Originals" project - card 5

Today Art and I decided to go the movies. However, since it was SO cold, I guess everyone else decided to go, too. So the movie that we wanted to see was "It's Complicated" with Meryl Streep. And I guess that's the movie everyone else wanted to see. LOL As a result, it was sold out. So we ran a few errands, and then went on to one of the arcades and played for about an hour. Came home to Del Tura and went to the Singles meeting. Then home for some leftovers for dinner.

Next it was time to make today's Originals card 5 from page 13. It's called Center Accent, and I changed it up a bit. I made the card 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, It's a little bit different -- no ribbon -- but used the delicious paper that looks like a series of assorted ribbons. I really love the effect. I hope you do, too.

"Originals" project - card 3

A couple of things before I show you my next "Originals" card. First off, today was a very busy cardmaking day for me. I finished up all the cards for my exchange, so that's done, and I can go on to my next project.

Secondly, I don't know if you all use the new Downey wrinkle releaser, but if you do and you run out, you can make your own.
Just buy a big bottle of Downey, and in the original spray bottle of the wrinkle releaser, add one capful of Downey and 4 capfuls of water. Shake well, and there you have it. I just love this stuff, but it's so much cheaper to make your own.

Thirdly, I made a really great salad for lunch today. I thought you might like the recipe. I shredded iceberg lettuce, added chicken chunks (fully cooked) from Schwan's, cubed 1 avocado, cut tomatoes into chunks, added grated Parmesean cheese, and then dressed it with Vidalia Onion dressing (I believe it is made by Kraft). Wow, yummo, as Rachel Ray would say. It was truly delicious. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

And now here is my card number 3 from the Originals book on page 12. The name of it is "Triple-Triple" and it's a 3x3 card which is great for a gift card.

Hi everyone. Well, today was certainly unplanned events. I had to take Art to the emergency room. However, all turned out OK and I brought him back home. But I didn't get the things on my agenda done. Oh, well, I guess it's enough that he's OK.

I just finished this card from the "Originals" book. It's card #2 on page 11 and it's called "First Impression". This is my version of it. I hope you like it. I never have enough "man" cards, so this one is perfect for that. A great birthday card, don't you think?

By the way, I am trying to make simple cards so that the postage won't be so high when mailing them. So you won't find a lot of bulk on these cards.

Here is another card made from the CTMH Topstitch paper pack. This was so simple to make, but I really love the lock of the stitching on it. Don't you? I made this yesterday, but didn't have time to post it until now.

I hope you had a very nice New Year's Eve. We went to dinner with some friends and then back to our home for champagne, but everyone was so tired (I think from all the wine that we had at dinner LOL) everybody decided to go home at 10 p.m.!

So we decided that we would "recreate" New Year's Eve next Friday evening with goodies and champagne, and possibly play some games. I'm actually going to invite a few friends who could not join us for dinner last evening because of other plans. Should be a fun evening.

Finally I have a card that I made today. I have really been way too busy to create anything lately, but hopefully I can get back in the swing of things. I really miss it when I can't create!

I hope you like this card. I have to make 8 of them for a swap with my CTMH team. I really wanted to get all of them done yesterday, but when I started cutting I discovered my blade was too dull, so I had to go to JoAnn's for some new ones. And after a few other errands yesterday that really shot my day. So I did this one today, but only my one for the sample. Hopefully tomorrow I will get to cut out the balance of them. Then on to some other designs for a class that I will be giving on January 16th, although I won't be using this same paper set.

Weather change

Well, it's supposed to get quite chilly tonight, and then tomorrow night the temperature is supposed to really dip low. Then another warm day on Wednesday, and then start getting really cold throughout the balance of the week. I really don't care, just so we don't have snow. LOL Of course, living in Florida sort of guarantees that, don't you think?

Tomorrow is going to be a cardmaking day here at home. I need to really get on the ball, as I have several classes to teach, plus an exchange with our team. And I have been really lazy about making any cards, especially since I had done all my Christmas cards beforehand.

I'm looking forward to using the new "Topstitch" and "Veranda" papers from CTMH. I'll finally have some new cards to show you. Can't wait to get started.

I am so tired. It's not even 8 p.m. but I could go to bed right now. First thing this morning Art came into the living room where I was reading the Sunday newspaper and drinking a cup of coffee. He said, "Let's go to Buddy Freddy's for breakfast. Be ready in 20 minutes." 20 minutes? I still had to make the bed, change my clothes, wash my face, etcetera, etcetera. But I was ready in "20 minutes" believe it or not. So off we went for breakfast, taking our advertisements with us, so we could see what was on sale today.
Well really, what's not on sale these days? LOL

So after breakfast we went down to the Mall. He wanted to buy some new pants (the ones he has don't fit -- ha ha) and then I decided to get a couple of things, too. Believe it or not, I have never been in our Macy's here locally. And then discovered there are actually two Macy stores in that one Mall. One for men, and one for women. Don't you think that's odd?

Anyway, after that we had to go to Walgreens and then CVS for a couple of things. Also went to Target and AC Moore. So that's why I'm so tired. I really hate shopping. Can't figure out how a 91 year old man doesn't get tired, and I do. Oh, yeah, that's because after the Mall, all the other stops we made he stayed in the car! LOL

Christmas Dinner

Good morning, day after Christmas. We had a wonderful time yesterday at our friends' home. They are from Sweden and Aggie prepared a typical Swedish Christmas dinner for us. The food was so good. I had never eaten herring before (ugh, thought I wouldn't like it), but the way she prepared it was delicious. Also had fresh salmon with this absolutely fabulous mustard sauce (purchased at Ikea). I definitely have to get some of that because it was really good. Also a potato dish that I can't remember the name of. Red beets with sour cream; red cabbage; ham and cheese and I could go on and on. Everything so good. Then regular boiled potatoes, Swedish meatballs and sausage. And then for dessert -- ice cream with bananas that were heated in the microwave with cinnamon and orange juice. Yummo, as Rachel Ray would say.

Ike's brother and his wife were there, too, and we really had a great time. So different from our American Christmas celebration.

Happy Day

Good morning on this wonderful Christmas Day! I hope Santa treated all of you well. I know he did me, that's for sure. I got a lot of Farberware baking items, which I sorely needed. All of mine was so old that some of it was even rusted. So out with the old, and in with the new. I even baked Art a couple of kinds of cookies today. As you know, I can't eat any of them because I can't have anything with glutin in it. So I will make myself some Betty Crocker Glutin free brownies later today. I've already tasted them before and they were delicious. All her new items are simply fabulous for those of us who can't have glutin.

I hope none of you were stranded by the storms that came through the west and mid-west. And hopefully you don't have to go out in the horrible weather.

Thinking of You cards

You probably noticed that I make a lot of "thinking of you" cards. So many of our residents here where we live are up in age, and many times a "get well" card really isn't appropriate, so most of the time I do the "thinking of you" ones. Here is one that I made earlier this year and is really quite simple to make. It also is really a good one to make a number of them at one time.

Well, I finally talked Art into going shopping today. I felt he needed some warmer clothing to take with us to Cincinnati. It's supposed to be 30 degrees on Thanksgiving Day, and certainly the clothing we wear in Florida would not be warm enough. LOL So I talked him into a flannel shirt and a really nice heavy sweat jacket that zips all the way up the front. I'm sure he'll be much more comfortable wearing that than just a little nylon shell type jacket. He does have a heavy jacket to wear, fortunately. I am planning on taking my ski jacket with me, and lots of jeans and turtle-neck shirts and crew neck sweaters. I'm definitely not a cold weather person. I even have liners to wear under my jeans.

Well, I'll try to blog a couple more times before we leave, but I can't promise. So if I don't talk to you again before we leave, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

6x6 scrapbook page using Aspen

I made this 6x6 scrapbook page for a swap among the gals from Susan Tomaino's downline. I actually did this last year using CTMH Aspen papers. I also added silver studs that I had purchased from Joanne's which were in my stash. I will probably use this same template again in the future, because I really like it. The idea came to me one night that I couldn't sleep, which is usually what happens when I have to come up with a design. I lay in bed and think and think, and then I get up, draw a diagram, and the next day execute the design. Seems to work for me. LOL

I finished up my Christmas gift shopping. I had already purchased just about everything for this year. I generally do this during the year and actually purchased some things earlier in the year while on a cruise. But I still had to get a couple of things, especially since we're going to celebrate Christmas in Cincinnati on Sunday, November 29th. Now I have to make everyone's special cards, which I plan on doing tomorrow at scrapbooking.

By the way, I have just about completed the scrapbook (8x8) of our cruise last month. It is my first digital scrapbook, and I am actually in love with doing digital work. It's coming out so nice. Last holiday season I purchased a bunch of paper scrapbooks (cover is CS) for a buck each. They came in several colors, and I think I got about 4 white ones, and 1 red and 1 green one. There is a place on the front for a photo to show through the cutout area, and it ties with a ribbon. I got these at A.C. Moore. They are 8x8 and just the right size for my digital books (I'm using Memory Mixer, by the way). I stopped by there today and was informed they had stored a lot of them, and they are going to call me and let me know when they pull them out. They also come in burgandy and navy, I believe. So I am going to buy a ton of them in white for myself so I can actually put papers on the covers, according to the subject of the scrapbook. I am really excited about being able to purchase more of them. They have 6 pages which means 12 scrapped pages. And the really neat thing about them is you can attach them one to another to make the book larger. Cool, huh? If you are interested in them, check out your local A.C. Moore store and see if they have them available.

I'm sorry I can't post more pics of the "Old Bag" luncheon. For some reason my computer tells me there is an "internal error", whatever that means. But I will tell you that we raised over $3,000 for our organization. Everyone is really excited about this. Now we can do a lot more good things for our residents here in Del Tura.

Fun Punches Design card

This is a card that I designed for PS a little while back, but I don't think I put it here on my blog. Again, using the paper packet from WalMart that I absolutely adore, and adding some pearl dots and a punch from CM. I hope you like it.

We are going away for Thanksgiving next week, and will be gone for 8 days, so I guess I'd better knuckle down and blog the rest of this week. LOL

"Old Bag" Luncheon

Our "Old Bag" luncheon that F.I.S.H. threw here in our community was a great success. All the money raised went to the fund for services that we provide residents in our community. And it was really a grand old time. We auctioned off close to 400 handbags, had a very successful raffle, and a wonderful lunch. I am including some of the photos from that event.

White core cardstock

This is a card that I made and submitted to Practical Scrappers. The card is very suitable for a man. I used CTMH cardstock and used the blade of my scissors to rough up the edges of the "Wishing You Well" block. I also tore some of the cardstock to show the white inner core. I really love this look, and use it quite often on my cards.

Art's Birthday Card

As most of you know, Art just turned 91, and this is the birthday card I made for him. We usually display our cards on one end of the buffet, and Art did this, as usual. However, I was sitting watching TV one evening and I saw this card that said "16". He decided that he would rather be 16 instead of 91, so he turned the card upside down. LOL He has such a wicked sense of humor and that's why everyone loves him, including ME!

I hope you enjoyed this card. And, again, all that was used on this card came from that kit that I have been using from Wal-Mart. Sorry that the scan isn't really great on this one.

Modern Christmas Tree Card

Well, I am finally feeling pretty much like my old self. Thank goodness. I really hate being sick. It's such a drag, don't you think? Well, I made quite a few cards when I was up to it during this period, and I will be showing you some of them each day.

Today, I am showing you two cards that I made, using the same template, but usually two quite different color schemes. I really don't know which I like the most, so I will probably be using both of them for my Christmas cards this year. I hope you like them. I just love CAS cards (clean and simple), don't you?

The first tree, the blue and green one, is from that Walmart paper that I have been using for such a long time. I really love the colors in these papers. The second tree, more traditional reds and greens, is made from papers from two different companies. The top and bottom layer of the tree is from BasicGrey's Eskimo Kisses and the two middle layers are papers from Making Memories' FaLaLa series.

I'm so sorry that I haven't been around lately. We came back from our cruise last Monday and I started getting sick right away. After the horrible weekend, I finally went to the doctor's this past Monday, and discovered that I had cellulitis. It is in my nose, and it swelled up, got very hot and red, and the pain was excruciating. So now I am on an antibiotic 4x daily and Darvocet every 4 hours. But today the pain isn't as bad, so I have backed off of the D as long as I can. I just hope I NEVER, and I mean NEVER get this again. I really haven't been able to do much of anything, because every time you turned around I was asleep. Not only did the Darvocet make me sleepy, but so did the antibiotic. So a double whammy. Oh well, I guess I needed the sleep, since I hadn't slept for a couple of nights because of the pain.

So hopefully by the end of the week, I'll be back in the groove and show you some cards that I had made before I went away. Talk to you soon, and I hope you have a good evening.

Twitterpated #4 & #5

Here are two more cards that I made with CTMH Twitterpated paper kit. Don't you just love the little hedgehog on #4? And remember when I told you that I had made background paper by using the Liquid Glass from CTMH? Well, this is the card. This was way too easy, using a small stamp first, and then putting dots of the Liquid Glass over top of it. I really do love the effect.

And now for card #5, this tree is half of one of the chipboard buttons. Cute, right? I really love this workshop kit. It's set up to make 8 cards, and supplies left over to make more cards or some scrapbooking pages, it's up to you.

Twitterpated card #3

This is my 3rd card from the Twitterpated paper packet from CTMH. I really love this group of papers. The colors are so scrumptious. And I love the chipboard buttons. This was a button that I cut in half to make the mushroom top. Cute, huh? And I really like the stem stamp and then the triple leaf stamp. The center dots are made with CTMH Liquid Glass. This stuff is so much fun to use. Tomorrow I will show you another card that I used the liquid glass on in order to make a pattern on the paper. And the other day I had an earring that the back came off of, and I used a drop of the liquid glass to put it back on. Held really tight. There are just so many uses for this stuff. And I find that using it on the back of chipboard is better than glue dots, which sometimes actually tears off. But the liquid glass goes on so much easier.
Try it, you'll love using it, too.

I'd like to hear from you CTMH gals who use liquid glass. Tell me what different things you have used it on. Another way I used it is on my bedspread. It has this gorgeous embroidery on it, and a couple of the threads came loose. So I just put a drop of liquid glass on and it held the thread with no trouble. You can't see it, either.

I don't know if I'll get a chance to blog tomorrow or not, because Art is having a medical procedure (actually two of them), so we'll be at the surgi-center most of the day I think. So if I don't get a chance tomorrow, I definitely will show you another Twitterpated card on Wednesday.

Twitterpated cards from CTMH

Art notified me that I needed to make two birthday cards for male family members, so I decided to use the CTMH Twitterpated papers. I love the colors that are in these papers, and I think are quite useful for men's cards. So here are the two Happy Birthday cards I made today.

I attended a scrapbooking session yesterday, and I made a dozen cards for the bazaar. So look for more of my cards in the days to come. There are additional Twitterpated ones, plus some really pretty ones that I made from a kit from Walmart. I think I'm stuck on a brown theme right now. LOL

I stopped today at Strawberry Fields (which is a local shop) and picked up some Christmas papers and rub-ons, etc. to make cards. The mainstream stores such as Michael's, etc. don't have their Christmas stuff out yet. But since I'm going to be in our community bazaar on the 6th & 7th of November, I have to get busy doing Christmas cards, because that's what the customers want. So Strawberry Fields always comes through with just the right stuff. I love this store. I bought some Basicgrey, BoBunny and American Craft papers, plus some other things.

An Honest Blog Award

I want to thank Kim Sparks for the award that she sent to me. Thank you, Kim, that was just so sweet of you. I have to list 10 true things about me for this, so here goes:

1. I LOVE cardmaking. It's just so much fun to give handmade cards to friends and relatives.

2. My favorite flowers are daisies (which is also Kim's favorite). I also love sunflowers.

3. I really love cruises, and we're going on one to Mexico on the 26th. Can't wait. Need some relaxation right now.

4. My faith is very important to me, and I love our minister at our church. I hang on every word of his sermons.

5. The one thing I want right now is my own scrap room, which there are plans in the works for that.

6. I have tons of friends, and treasure each one of them.

7. I hope someday to meet Kim because she is such an inspiration to me.

8. I love doing volunteer work in our community. It really makes me feel good to help others in need of help.

9. And, of course, there is Art. And he is my great joy in my life. I really believe he is my guardian angel here on earth.

10. My family is very important to me, and I love each and every one of them. I love watching my daughters grow as they get older, and love watching the way they are mothering their little ones.

The Cake

Well, I am here to tell you that after the cake sat all night on the countertop (covered with foil), it seems that it must have continued cooking (?) because this morning the cake was solid. And it really is quite good. I don't know if that was what I was supposed to do (let sit so many hours) or not, but at least it's edible. Probably won't make it again, though. Way too sweet for me, although Art really likes it. But then again, anything sweet is fine with him. LOL

I went to scrapbooking today, but didn't finish any of the cards I was planning on making. So I don't have a card from Twitterpated today.

So I will show you one of the new Christmas cards I made when I was at the beach. I hope you like it. I call this a CAS card (clean and simple).

Hi everyone. It has been an exasperating evening for me. I received this recipe for a gluten free cake that was supposed to taste like cake donuts. I worked on it for quite a while because it takes quite a bit of time to mix it. So while it was baking it smelled SO delicious, so I said to Art, if it smells that good, it's got to taste fantastic. So it wasn't done baking at 30 minutes like the recipe said, so I kept it in 10 more minutes, then another 5 minutes for a total of 45 minutes. This was in a 9x9 pan. After it cooled down, I cut one of the corners to taste it. Oh my goodness, it was so good on the OUTSIDE, but the inside wasn't solid yet. So I put some foil over it so it wouldn't get too brown, and lowered the temp and baked for another 45 minutes. It STILL wasn't cooked inside. So Art ate some of the outside, which by the way, is really delicious, but I guess I'll have to throw the rest of it away. Oh, so much money to make it. But I guess when I make a new recipe that is gluten free, I guess I'll just have to be patient while trying them out. So frustrating!

I made a card this evening also for Practical Scrappers, which I guess will be shown on Friday, so you will have to wait until them to see it. Sorry. But tomorrow I am going to scrapbooking and will be making the cards from the Twitterpated kit, so I will then be able to show those to you tomorrow evening. Well, at least one of them. LOL

Gaylord Hotel eateries

Yesterday I promised I would show you some more of the food areas at the Gaylord.

This is the new National Pastime pub
and grill. Of course, it has a baseball
theme.

And these two shots are from the

inside of the pub. Really nice in there.

And this, of course, is the Java Coast

luncheon area, although I don't believe

there was room to eat inside. But

you can eat outside.

I hope you enjoyed all the pics I

I've got something new to talk about

tomorrow. I just found out I have to

abstain from gluten in my food, so

Gaylord National Harbor Hotel in Washington, D.C.

I decided to take some pics of the Gaylord Hotel in Washington, D.C. for those of you CTMH gals who are planning on going to Convention next year. This place is so gorgeous, I can't wait to get there again in 2010! You are going to love it. Everything was built "up" instead of "out". This is the smallest of their four hotels, and has 2000 rooms. It was built on the water and so there are sightseeing cruises available at the pier. If there is anything special you want me to put on here, let me know. The one thing I didn't get a pic of was one of the rooms. I'll go through my pics and do some more tomorrow, especially the food areas. I hope you enjoy these.

Sticker letters used for other than a title

This is a card that I did before we went on vacation. For PS we were supposed to use sticker letters in a different way other than using them for a title. So I just decided to kind of doodle a design and this is what I came up with. I used H, I, M and W. Sort of a cool design, don't you think?

Practical Scrappers blog hop diecut card

I'm back from vacation, and I am totally exhausted. I need a vacation now to recover from my vacation, LOL.

I have tons of things to tell you, but I will be doing that over the next few days.

Right now, the number 1 item to cover is my diecut Cricut card for Practical Scrappers. I decided to do a Christmas card on which I did the tree and ornaments on the Cricut. I then used glitter to cover the star at the top of the tree, and decorated the ornaments with glitter, also. I hope you enjoy this card, especially since I made it yesterday and I wasn't feeling really good. It's so hard to make your brain come up with a plan when you're ill, isn't it?

PS Challenge of Stamps

These are the projects that I did for the Practical Scrappers challenge for today of using stamps.

The first is a page layout that I did the entire background with stamps and the second layout is a pocket card that I did a ton of stamping on. The third item is a card that I did today of nothing but stamping and bling on it. And the other view shows the card open.

I am getting ready to go on vacation so I will not be posting anything from the 3rd of September through the 17th. However, I am sending my projects to Christine of PS so she can put them on the PS blog.

No news on my car yet. This is really strange, don't you think? It is almost three weeks they've had my car now. I guess I just need to remain patient until I get the "patient" back home. LOL

Round card challenge for Paper Addicts Anonymous

Here is my round card for Paper Addicts Anonymous Challenge #3. I used paper from Sassafras Sunshine Lollipops wee bundle. The stems and leaves are from CTMH D1368. I used Garden Green ink and the floss is from CTMH, and the buttons are from my stash. The quote is from There She Goes, "Happy Day" stamp set. I actually curved this stamp so I could place it around the edge of the card. Don't forget, you can always do this type of thing when using acrylic stamps. Try it on one of your cards to see how this works. I hope you like what I did on this card. The only thing is that the yellow on the card itself, is not this golden. Much prettier in person.

Another Lovely Leaves card

Good evening, everyone. I hope you had a great day, like I did. I had scrapbooking today, and actually made a whole set of cards from the new Wishes book published by CTMH. Wow, what great card ideas this book has in it.

Art and I went to see Inglorious Basterds yesterday. It was very good and we really enjoyed it. It was just a spur of the moment thing to go to the movies, so it turned out to be a really nice day for us. Brad Pitt was really terrific in this movie. Even with some of the yucky scenes, there was still quite a bit of humor in it. Pitt has a Southern back country accent, and it was really quite humorous to hear him speak. We then went to dinner at Ruby Tuesday, so the day was really a completely wonderful day.

Here is another card made from the old CTMH Lovely Leaves paper. However, it was kind of hard to scan because I used a really beautiful thick button on it, then added a rhinestone in the middle. I hope you like it. I actually made another card just like it with a somewhat thinner button on it for a family birthday card. I then did a rub-on of "Happy Birthday" at the very bottom right-hand corner. Pretty. I hope you like this one. The stamp used on the card is CTMH Cottage Floral, B1306. The button and rhinestone are from my stash.

Thanks for all the comments you have made on my blog. I really appreciate it. At least people are looking at it, which makes me feel good.

Talk to you tomorrow, and, by the way, I should be getting my car back tomorrow evening. But then again, who knows. They are being very kind and not charging me for the electrical work that they are doing on it. Wow, who would'a believed it? Some auto work free? That's what I call being very nice, don't you think?

Lovely Leaves card for Practical Scrappers challenge using vellum

I have never really liked using vellum. However, PS has a challenge using it, so I thought I would give it a try. Papers are from CTMH Lovely Leaves from several years ago. Yes, I still have a ton of it left, but really love the paper, especially the watercolored look sheets. I edged everything with Garden Green ink and used the Garden Green ribbon. I decided to punch leaves out of the vellum and then ink the edges. So this is my final result. Ugh. Don't really like it, but what the hey, I made it so I guess I'd better show it. LOL

I got a call today about my car still being worked on. They have never seen anything like the problems that my car has, so I deep down think they are experimenting with it. Poor baby. I hope it gets home pretty soon.

Tile Card

Happy Sunday, everyone. Today I am trying to relax a little bit. This is one of the cards that I made the other day from Silhouette by CTMH. I just love these papers, and can't seem to make enough cards to use all of the paper up. LOL But that doesn't matter, because I am making some Christmas gifts, using these papers and making a folder for them to be stored in. I'm trying to get ahead of the Christmas rush, so to speak. LOL

On this card, I used CTMH stamp set D1306, Treasure life. I merely stamped the design on a 3 x 2-1/2" piece of Colonial White CS, then cut it into three 1" pieces. Then matted it, attached the ribbons at the top, punched the holes for the brads, and that was it. Easy-peasy! The great thing about this card is that it could be used for any occasion. This one happens to be for a birthday. On the inside I stamped Happy Birthday, added a strip of the polka dot paper on the right side of the card, with a strip of the ribbon down the middle of that. So it has a finished look about it I also edged all the pieces with black ink. I love the way that looks and have been using it on most of my cards lately.

Well, must go now. You really don't need a pattern for this card. I would like it if you would make a card using this design and send it to me by e-mail. I will then post all the cards that I receive by the end of the month. Looking forward to your cards.

Sympathy Cards

I promised you yesterday that I would show you the two sympathy cards that I made for friends of mine. Both are totally CTMH Simple Pleasures papers and stickease. The ribbon is also CTMH. The only thing that is not CTMH are the rub-ons that I used. I think sympathy cards are perfect for this paper. There is something so quiet and subdued about the colors for this type of card, don't you agree?

Three Bugs In A Rug cards

Here are the two cards I made yesterday from Three Bugs In A Rug, Blossom kit. The first card is Card #10 from CTMH Wishes Card Confidence Program book. The rick rack and the floss is from CTMH. And don't you just love the little tab that comes around and closes the card? So cute! The stamp comes from one of those dollar stamps from Michael's.

The second card's letters are Tiny Letters from PC Alphabitties. and the buttons and ribbons are from my stash. This card is also from the Wishes book.

I have been really busy making cards the last few days, so tomorrow I will show you two sympathy cards I needed to make for friends of mine. One lost her husband, and the other lost her mother. But that's for tomorrow.

This is my galaxy shaped card for the Paper Addicts Anonymous challenge. I did a sun using CTMH cardstock and added golden pearls from my stash and hand printed around the circumference "You are my Sunshine" several times. I hope you like it.

Vase of Roses

Tonight I am going to show you the card that I made for PS using
just scraps of papers. The papers are Elegant Bouquet scraps from CTMH. I love these papers so much that I won't throw away even a TINY scrap. I stamped the vase from CTMH D1284, With Love. Since I didn't want it to have the circles on it, I turned it over and used the wrong side of the stamp. It worked -- even giving the look of shadowing. The greenery in the vase is also from this set of stamps. Worked out great, don't you think? Please vote at Practical Scrappers for my card. You have to leave a comment under the card to post your vote.

Well, my car is in "intensive care" now. It had to be sent to another location because there is something wrong with an electrical part. Don't understand it, but if the air is on, there is no problem. But if I don't turn the air on, the heat indicator just soars. The only thing that is not depressing about this whole situation is that this "new" problem is not going to cost me. Yippee! Thank goodness we have another car!

Silhouette Happy Birthday

Well, I got my car home last evening, but had to take it back today. Hopefully, it will be better tomorrow. It's been sick so long. The bill was $1900.00, and it still had problems. Fortunately, there will not be an additional charge for this trip. Whew, I'm so tired of my car being sick.

I was able to sit down today for a little while and made some cards with the CTMH Silhouette papers and Stickease. I'm showing you one this evening, and the others will come in the days ahead.

Blog candy packages and Mallory Square, Key West

Well, I finally got a chance to go to the PO, where I mailed out the June and July (sorry I'm late on these) blog candy packages. June's package went out to De Swanick, and July's package went to Christine Meyer. I hope you guys enjoy what I sent.

I'm showing you some of the pics from our recent trip to Key West. We went to Mallory Square at night, where they have all sorts of entertainment in the square, plus crafts to purchase, and a supposed gorgeous sunset. However, there was a lot of clouds that night, but I must say that Art and I get to see a beautiful sunset each evening from our living room. We are on the golf course, and we face the west, where the sunsets are glorious. So I wasn't too impressed with what I saw in Key West (that's as far as the sunset goes). Everything else we did was really great. So here are the pics from Mallory Square. Enjoy!

Summer brings ---

Well, today I can show you my entry into Practical Scrappers' contest. The theme had to be summer, and my page is in Contest 2, entry #1. I thought I would include it in today's blog. If you like it, please go to PS and vote for me. This has been a fun theme to work with. I tried to do something different other than the beach or the pool or something like that.

And I'm also including today another card done with Daisy Bucket papers.

I'm working on two challenges right now. One is for PS for a card made out of scraps, and the other one is for Paper Addicts Anonymous. This card has to be a shaped card and the subject is something from the galaxy. You will get to see them, I guess, on Monday.

Birthday Card (Daisy Bucket)

Good evening. Well, it is raining outside, so I figured I would do a ton of work on the computer this evening. However, most of it is done, so now I get to sit down with my new Fall/Winter Idea Book from CTMH. Wow, so many new items being offered. Can't wait to get my hands on some of those gorgeous papers. Card designs running through my brain already. LOL

I just gave away a ton of paper on Freecycle. This is a wonderful idea, by the way. You cannot sell anything on there, but you can list things and if someone would like to have it, you just make arrangements for them to come and pick it up. A couple of years ago I had a Martha Stewart set of porch furniture, and since we were enclosing our porch and making it a lanai we needed another type of furniture for it. So I listed it in an e-mail, and received almost instantly a hit on it, which is great when you're trying to make room for something else. LOL So anyway, I listed scrapbook paper and got a ton of responses, so I split it and gave it to two different people. I still have some clearing out of stuff, what with the new papers now available, so I will be contacting some of those people who were left over. Give Freecycle a try, I'm sure you'll like it.

Key West trip

Hello everybody. Our trip to Key West was absolutely fabulous. We traveled down from Fort Myers Beach to Key West via the Express Boat. It took about 3 1/2 hours compared to over 6 if we had driven. Quite a time saver, wouldn't you say? Here are a few pics of us when we were in Jimmy Buffets' Margaritaville, where we had lunch after getting off the boat. I'll show you more pictures tomorrow. Just don't have the time for it today.

I was working on a scrapbook page for Practical Scrappers. They're having a contest for our pages, so please go to their website and vote. I can't show you my page just yet, but it will have my name on it. I sort of did a different kind of page, so maybe it will bring me some votes. LOL All the gals on the Design Team are really terrific, and so talented. I'll show you my page tomorrow on here, but in the meantime check out PS's site. We now have a second sponsor, so that is really terrific.

Simple Pleasures

I am doing a short blog this evening, because we are getting ready to go to Key West tomorrow. We are going on the boat from Fort Myers Beach to Key West and staying at a B&B tomorrow night. Then we will return on Thursday evening back home. Can't wait. I need a break right now. LOL

So here is the card for tonight. It was made with CTMH "Simple Pleasures" paper and Stickease stickers. The blue rhinestones are from Basics of Kaisercraft. I hope you like this card. I used the tiny vase of flowers stickers on the left inside part of the card.

How about the fact that PS now has TWO (that's right, folks, two) sponsors. Isn't that terrific? I'm so proud to be on their design team.

2009 Father's Day Card

Alright everbody, today is Sunday, so that means that tomorrow is Monday, right? And that means the first pages and cards from Practical Scrappers will hit the airway!!! Yippee. You gotta come back and see what we are going to display for you. Be sure to go to Practical Scrappers blog for some great art work. And congrats to Alanna for winning PS's blog candy.

Today I am showing you my card that I made for Art for Father's Day this year. I really love this card because it is so 3-dimensional. I lifted the yellow star with 2 pieces of foam, and the green star with 3 pieces. I used "Stardust" papers from CTMH, and the stamp set is from D1320, "Shining Star", also CTMH. The button is of unknown origin, as well as the bling. The cording in the button is actually the cord from a tag that was on one of my new golf shirts. I really liked it, so I put it away and used it on this card. I hope you like it.

Today's card is from June, and it's very different from anything I have ever done before. I used the corner of the background paper, which had this beautiful design, and then just added the sentiment and the bling. I think it's very pretty, and I hope you agree. The papers are by Daisy Bucket's "In the Meadow". and the rubber stamp is by Stampendous. The crystal stickers are by Marc Richards. The cardstock is from core'dinations Core Color Cardstock.

We went to Arizona Pizza's today, and we each had a stromboli. I had never had one before, but it was very good (I only ate 1/2 of it). I've never eaten a calzone, either, so I guess I'll have to get one of those in the future. You would think as much as we eat out (I'm trying to put a stop to this, but Art really enjoys it) I would have had one or the other at some point in my life. But, no, I hadn't, so it was interesting to me. After lunch, he had to go to physical therapy, and then home. I fixed some flounder tonight, along with a small salad of greens with mushrooms, and I sauteed red and green pepper slices along with Vidalia onion slices. Very good. Since we're on the South Beach Diet, I try to fix really healthy meals. That's one of the reasons I don't like to go out to eat as often as we do. But then again, I can always order a burger without a bun, or something made with a chicken breast, or just a big salad with shrimp or something like that. So it's really no big deal.

It's raining right now, but then again, this time of the day, this time of the year, it always rains. Ugh! But one thing about this time of year, we know the sun will be shining in the a.m. LOL

I'm getting so excited about Practical Scrappers showing off our first designs on Monday. Should be a lot of fun working with this Design Team.

My Button Card

What a great day I had. We actually went out and bought a new 26" flatscreen TV for our lanai. The one we had out there was so difficult to get a channel on, that by the time we were able to get a picture, half the show was over with. And all we saw for that first part was snow. Ugh. Art just kept giving it a new chance every evening for several weeks now. I, personally, became frustrated with it, so I watched the one in the living room. LOL

Then we had lunch at another new little restaurant. It was pretty good, but we probably won't go back there. We have so many great places to eat, there's really no need to revisit a restaurant if it's not truly great. But then I went to Strawberry Fields (next door to the restaurant), the scrapbooking store I told you about the other day. And, of course, I had to buy some more "stuff". Papers by Graphic 45 (I just love these papers) and some by Dream Street. The DS ones are for Halloween. Believe it or not, I have never bought Halloween paper before. Don't know why, but these are really cute, so I couldn't resist. I've got to stay out of that store, that's for sure! LOL When I came home, I started sorting out all my ribbon, and placed it in a new storage drawer that I bought at WalMart. I need to find some new ways to store "stuff". If you have any really great suggestions, please pass them on.

I am showing you the other birthday card that I made. I call this my button card. The buttons used are from foof-a-La, the Savannah Collection. I love the colors in this bag. They seem to go with so many of my papers. Again, the papers are from the lemonade collection from Basic Grey: picnic table, cherry cobbler, saltwater taffy (solid pink) and lime cooler. I hope you like this one. It's almost scrumptious enough to eat, don't you think?

My Sweet Bee Birthday Card

I told you yesterday that I would share a birthday card with you today. This is my Bee card and I used Basic Grey papers. The pink CS is saltwater taffy and the plaid is picnic table. These are from their Lemonade collection. So sweet and summery, don't you think.
The bee and the border are from this series, also. The Happy Birthday stamp is from CTMH.

We're getting ready for a really bad storm here, so this isn't going to be a long note. I need to shut down the computer.

Well, I am so excited today. Last evening I got an e-mail notifying me that I was selected to become a member of the Design Team for Practical Scrappers. There are going to be two teams, one for scrapbooking and one for cardmaking. I was chosen for the cardmaking team. I can't tell you how thrilled I am about this. So follow my blog, and follow Practical Scrappers blog, to see my creations and those of the other team members.

Today was the monthly lunch and movie club that I started here in our community. We had 15 of us went to a new little (and darling) restaurant located very close to our homes. It's called Island Java, and the food is really great. All homemade, including freshly baked breads, scones, muffins, cupcakes, huge cookies and biscotti. Ohhh, so good. Then on to the movie. We saw "The Ugly Truth" and it was really funny. A few bad words, but it was really good, even though the critics didn't like it. Oh, well, they rarely do.

I am showing you the sympathy card that I made for my upline and her husband. His mother passed away, and this is the card that I made for them. I hope you like it. I just love the colors. The paper and stickers are from the CTMH Simple Pleasures paper pack and My Stickease Assortment. The colors are to die for: bamboo, cocoa, desert sand and twilight.

I just finished two birthday cards that my girlfriend ordered, and I will be showing those to you in the next couple of days. You won't get to see my Design Team card until Monday.

Hi everyone. Let me start by telling you that I went to a wonderful scrapbooking store that is here in our area, called Strawberry Fields. I just happened to be in the area, and decided to stop. You know, trying to save gas, so since I was near I stopped. Smart, huh?
WELL, I wasn't aware they were having a "garage sale" today. So I saved gas, but I didn't save money. LOL

Wow, I must have gotten at least $200 worth of kits for scrapbooking and card making. When I got home I went through each of the plastic bags and I can really say I am thrilled with what I purchased. Everything was top quality papers like S.E.I., Bazill, Scenic Route, etc., etc.. And tons of matching stickers, punch-outs, ribbons, brads, just everything. You wouldn't believe. But I really DID save money because it all cost me just $32!!! So I guess I have to get on the stick and use some of it to make cards. There were even a few pre-made (not pre-printed) page kits for 9x9 albums, some 6x6 albums, etc. So I really did hit the jackpot today, don't you think?

So now I will show you a card that I had already done for today's blog, and I hope you like it. I intend to make cards tomorrow, so I should have a fresh batch in the days ahead.

Hello everybody. I hope you have had a great day, as I have had. We actually had some time today to go to the pool. Wow, haven't done that for months and months. And after about an hour, it started to rain, so home we came. But it sure was nice to actually go up there, spend some time in the water, and relax while reading a terrific book. For you James Patterson fans, be sure you get "Bathing Suit" and read it. It's a real thriller.

This has been an extremely relaxing day. Didn't really have any errands or work to do today. Watched a little television and then on to fix dinner. Here is another great recipe (actually I made it up) for chicken, for all you chicken lovers. I call it Salsa Chicken and it was so-o-o good! Hope you like it.

SALSA CHICKEN

(serves 4)

2 T Olive Oil

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut

into 1 inch cubes or pieces

1 T McCormick Santa Fe Big 'n Bold Spice Blends

16 ounces mild chunky salsa (if you prefer

it more spicy, go for it, but I always

use the mild salsa)

sour cream

chopped cilantro

Toss the chicken pieces with the spice blend. Pour the olive oil into frying pan or grill pan (this is my preference because the excess oil stays down in the ridges) and cook the chicken pieces. Add the salsa and heat through and allow to thicken slightly. Place serving size on plate and add a dollop of sour cream on top. Sprinkle cilantro over top of sour cream. Enjoy.

I served this with a salad of a wedge of lettuce with 2 T of dressing (your choice) over the top and sprinkled shredded cheese on the top.

The light is in and working!!! Yay! So much easier now to comb my hair and put on make-up. LOL

Today is Monday, and as usual, this is our day to run errands, go to lunch, and then we usually go to an arcade (which are legal here in Florida), and I hope to win some money today. Since our new Idea Books will be coming out soon, I need some moola.

Today I am showing you one of my new cards that I designed. However, I did not use CTMH products on this set because I saw this package of paper (including stickers, button embellishments, acrylic stickers, alphabets, etc.) at WalMart, and really fell in love with it. The colors are delicious, and actually match some of our CTMH colors! Outdoor Denim, Sweet Leaf and Ocean match up perfectly. So all the cardstock used in the set of cards IS from CTMH. (Actually, the colors don't look as vibrant on the scans as they do in color, sorry.) I did use some of our stamps, though, on all

of them.

Well, we finally went out and got a new light fixture for the master bathroom. It hasn't worked for two weeks now, and do you know how difficult it is to put on make-up and do your hair, just using a small office "lamp" for your main source of light in a small room? Not easy, I can tell you that. The electrician is coming tomorrow to put the new fixture in, thank goodness. Now I won't have to put eye shadow on the brush, walk over to the window, hold the brush in my right hand and a hand mirror in my left hand, in order to do my eye make-up. Can't wait for tomorrow! lol

While we were at Lowe's we also picked up a really nice fan with a light in it, for my office/scraproom. This is the only room that doesn't have a fan, and we really need one in here, that's for sure.

Today I am showing you a card that was created using
"Unforgettable" papers from Close To My Heart. I also used the stamp set "Aspiration" from them, also. I hope you like my card today.

I've been on the South Beach Diet now for a little over two weeks, and I lost 6 pounds in those first two weeks. The food has been sensational (of course, I have to cook it), and the recipes come from the South Beach Diet book. Wow, it's so good, you wouldn't believe it.

Here is one of the recipes that I fixed that we really enjoyed.

SAVORY CHICKEN SAUTE

2 T extra-virgin olive oil

4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves

(I actually used chicken tenderloins)

1 large onion, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 T fresh rosemary leaves, chopped

(I used dried rosemary)

1/2 C fat-free chicken broth

pinch salt

pinch freshly ground black pepper

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute the chicken breasts in the oil for 4 minutes, then turn them over and add the onion. (If you use tenderloins, reduce the cooking time to your preference). Cover and cook until the onion is tender-crisp, about 5 minutes longer, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper.

Today was scrapbooking day here in Del Tura. There were only three of us able to make it, but that's ok. One of our gals just had a knee replacement and I guess the others were just not able to make it.

I started working on my Fourth of July pictures, and I was able to complete almost two (that's right, two) pages today. I am showing you the first one (that is complete) today, and hopefully tomorrow I will be able to finish the second page. I just have some journaling to do on it, but didn't have time today. Art had a physical therapy appointment, so I had to come home for that.

Today was "coffee" day in our clubhouse. Every Tuesday we have this and all the news and coming events are talked about. I do a movie and lunch day each month, and this month we are going to see "The Ugly Truth", which is a romantic comedy and stars Kathrine Heigel (not sure of the spelling). And we are going to go to a new little restaurant that just opened up. Everything is homemade, including the bread. Art and I had lunch there about a week or so ago, and it was absolutely delicious. I'm hoping to introduce people to this place by doing the lunch there. It is owned by a family, who all, by the way, work there. It's quite small, but the woman makes everything fresh. Really scrumptious. She also makes muffins, scones and biscotti. They really look delice, but we are on a diet, so none of that for us right now.

Anyway, after we had the "bug" man here to spray, and then the air-conditioner man came, and last, but not least, my Schwan's man (who delivers really great food) came. It was like Grand Central Station for a while. LOL Then I made us a cottage cheese and veggie salad. Pretty good.

And then, of course, on to errands. I had to go to WalMart for a few things, and ended up spending $75. Wow, didn't expect that when I went in there. LOL

I don't know what tomorrow will bring, except I am going to be doing our Fourth of July pics at scrapbooking. When they are done, I will show them to you on here.

Today is again a busy day (need I always say this?) but I promised you and myself that I would blog each and every day (as long as I'm able to use my computer). We are going away in September, but I will deal with that later. LOL

I am working on a new line of cards, but the sneak peek will come later this week. Not totally finished with them yet, and yes, it is a "line" of cards that I intend to hopefully place in some stores locally. I have individuals who order cards from me quite often, and they prefer them to the cards you usually find in the stores. So keep your fingers crossed and say a few prayers that I will be able to do this.

Today I am including a few more of my cards from one of my classes. All supplies are by Close To My Heart, as were yesterday's supplies. I hope you enjoy them.

I'm sorry I have been MIA for so long. Things have been extremely hectic in my life lately. I'll try to be better about writing each day from now on.

We went to see and hear a fantastic group called "Il Divo" on the 26th of June. The concert was in Fort Lauderdale and we stayed overnight and returned home the next day. Oh, my goodness, such voices. This concert was unbelievable. I'm sure you, who have heard of them before, would agree with me. So today is all about a few cards that I made several months ago. I'm sorry I don't have anything new right now, but as I said, things have been so hectic. I have been working on some new things, but haven't had the time to scan them in yet. The Fourth of July really had me tied up because we do a whole day of activities, including a parade, here where I live. And I was working on some of those activities.

Another busy day! This is getting to sound like a broken record. LOL Took my samples over to the store where I will be teaching my class in birthday cards for the month of July. I am doing classes at Scrapbooking Goodies in Cape Coral, Florida. I picked out the papers for my class in August. I will be teaching circular cards, which are really fun to make.

Remember I told you that my two little great granddaughters will be having their birthday party tomorrow (Saturday)? Well, guess what, it's been raining for two days now where they live, so I guess the party will have to be indoors, which is really a shame because they have a tremendous back yard with a pool, trampoline and tree house with swings, etc. But I'm sure they will still have a great time. I picked up the cutest little stuffed animals for them. One is a lion, which goes to Brooke, the 2-year old, and the other one is a monkey. And that one goes to, who else, our little monkey Ashleigh, who just turned 4. And when you squeeze them they make the sound of that particular animal. So cute. I'm sure they will love them.

Didn't get to do any cards today, but did design a thank you postcard for a friend of mine. Her mother's 90th birthday is coming up, and the celebration is going to be in New York. I previously designed an invitation for the surprise party, and today I designed a thank you for all the guests. They will be placed in a basket and all the guests will take one home with them at the end of the party. I did this same type of thing for Art's 90th birthday party back in November of last year. My girlfriend loved the idea, so she asked if I would design something similar for her Mom.

I am showing you one of the cards I have made for my class in July. I had to design 6 cards for the class, using all the same papers and embellishments. I hope you enjoy this one. The papers are by Daisy Bucket.

Today was scrapbooking day at the clubhouse. And, naturally, as I usually do, I made cards -- what else? I really don't do much scrapping, but cards -- that's really my love and I could design cards every minute of the day and night.

Tonight I am showing you the two birthday cards that I had made for my two adorable great-granddaughters who live in Maryland. Brooke turned 2 yesterday, and Ashleigh turns 4 tomorrow. They are sisters, and they are going to have a birthday party on Saturday. Should be a great time at my daughter's home. Swimming, grilling, and opening gifts and I just know the kids will have a fabulous time. Pray that it doesn't rain.

I used one of the new paper packets and stickease kits from CTMH, called Animal Cookies. Sounds appropriate for the little ones, doesn't it? I really made these two cards very simple, because at those ages I don't think the girls need a lot of embelllishments on their cards yet. Just letting them know that I made the cards especially for them is enough.

Today was again a busy day, although I had time to complete my birthday card samples for the class that I will be giving in July. And now I will start doing my samples for the August class, which is going to be round cards. Tomorrow is my scrapbooking day, and I guess I will work on some cards that I am going to submit to some of the card magazines. I have never done this before, but think it's time I try doing something new with my cards.

If any of you have done this in the past, I would appreciate any experiences you have had. Did you enjoy it? Or was it a waste of time? What is your viewpoint on the subject?

I promised you another card from the paper pack called Daydream. Again, everything used on the card is from CTMH. I really do love all their paper packs, especially because they have the Stickease stickers that coordinate with the papers. Such fun!

So today is June 1st, and as promised here is one of my most recent cards. The paper pack from CTMH is called Daydream, and seems to be perfect for someone young who likes to "daydream". Remember when we did this in school? Everything on this card is from CTMH, and I love the way it turned out. Don't you agree? Tomorrow I will show you another card from this same paper pack.

Art and I had a very busy day running errands, going to lunch, and, of course, since it's Monday, we went to our favorite arcade and did a little gambling. And then he had to go for some physical therapy. The schedule for PT is now every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Since he no longer plays golf he has lost some of the muscle strength in his legs, so the PT is already helping this problem.

I know, I'm a day early, aren't I? But I did this (I think) great card for the TSG June color challenge. We had to use black, white, and one other color. I decided to use red in this challenge. The papers are by making memories, as is the red button. The stamp, ribbon & brads are by CTMH. I added a few tiny little blingie-thingies to spice it up a little. I hope you like it.
